Incase you havent noticed, there has been a lot of comment spam recently. I have been doing my best trying to keep it off of here but with the commenting system I have, the spammers have simply found a way around it. I have tried adding CAPATCHA and using IP Address banning, but it only works for a little while until they find their ways around those as well. For those of you who subscribed to a comment thread and were getting spammed, I apologize for it filling up your mailbox. I also apologize for not giving you a way to unsubscribe. I have cleared the "notify" flag on every comment on the site and have turned off the feature so this wont happen again. With what has happened, this is both good and bad. The commenting system has worked as both a commenting system and a forum. That shows that the site is used and has become useful to others, which was the goal when I first started this site. In order to make this site more useful, I had started on putting up a forum, then many things happened and things got busy, I never finished it. Well I guess Ill start that back up again. So please hang in there until I can get that up and running. Hopefully get it up there as a christmas present to all the LazynetworkAdmin loyals out there. Thank you, Daniel Frei

Had a strange problem, when opening an email the tools bars were missing. There wasn't even an option to add them back in. Well, here is the fix.

I just upgraded everyone to VirusScan 8.7 using ePO4. The result was Scanotlk.dll could not be installed ot loaded. This was not what I wanted to see when I did the upgrade. So a friend M. Jacquard (CISSP and a great guy to boot!) gave me a fix...

Well after a really long weekend I have finally gotten through a SharePoint Services 2.0 to 3.0 migration. The migration itself went about as smooth as most migrations go, you know, plan, double check, triple check, migrate, nothing works. Either way, it is done now and now I am working with a couple quirky things. One thing which has frustrated me for a while was lists and libraries from the migrated site were not showing the Three-State workflow. Apparently this doesn't get turned on on upgraded lists and libraries. Since it took me far to long to find out how to do this, I am posting it here so hopefully it is easier to find.
