We are coming up to our 100th fix and I have been searching for a great one. This may take some time to find but if I find one in the mean time I will make sure to save it for our 100th fix. Ok, I know it's kinda geeky to get excited about the 100th fix but I love this stuff. I am very happy when I look at our hits and realize that we have helped may people with some not so common fixes. BTW, please feel free to join LNA and post any fixes that you may have found! Remember this site is nothing without the lazy admins who use our fixes. Have a great day and stay lazy! ~Chey |

The name of the product is FirePlotter and you can find it at http://www.fireplotter.com/index.php Why choose fireplotter? Well: FirePlotter shows you the traffic that is flowing through your internet connection - in real-time. FirePlotter is a real-time session monitor, bandwidth monitor or connection monitor for your Cisco or FortiNet firewall. For me it went down like this... Someone is hogging all of my bandwidth! But I can't tell who it is because I don't have a $5000.00 FortAnalyzer! I know, I'll call support, they can help Supports actual answer, "Hi Cheyenne, Without 3rd party solution or Fortianalyzer you can't see who is using the most bandwidth". Fireplotter to the rescue! Now, I can see who is connecting and how much bandwidth they are using. I was told that they are going to add logging and replay soon! You can try it out for free for 14 days! Try it, you may like it. |

Sorry that I have been gone for awhile. I just started a new job as the Director of Information Technology for a law firm. But I am working on some new scripts and will be rolling them out soon. I hope they make your life easier and keep you lazy! Thanks, Chey Harden |

Keeping up your network Infrastructure is a difficult task. Especially, when going through red tape. It is hard to get management to buy into new servers and switches when they are out of date and out of warranty. This is because they look at the network as an old car that can be fixed up and run forever. Hello! Your corporate infrastructure is NOT an old car. What can an admin do? Well, for starters you must document all failures and making graphs help. Make sure you have base lines and make a comparison of the issues you are having. When management can see this on paper with pretty graphs, they realize that they must act and then the burden is taken off of your shoulders. Oh, and make sure to get them so sign off on approving measures to improve the infrastructure or not. Keep a copy of this for yourself. As an old boss of mine always said, “CYA insurance”!
