Implementing php on 2008

Postby donw5288 » Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:03 pm

I found this site searching for information on how to get php running for an intranet site we are building for ourselves.

This is the article I used: http://www.lazynetworkadmin.com/knowled ... er-2008-r2

I followed the instructions, but when I try to use IE to open a file with php extension, it just tries to send the file to me.

Any more suggestions, I will provide any information I can if it will help.

are you getting any errors in your event log?

IIS is serving up the .php page for download because it doesn't have a script map configured correctly.
I would start by going back and verifying you have everything configured starting right under the "Installing PHP" section.

I just ran back through the article to verify the steps and I was able to get it to work.

Are we dealing with any special permissions, running as separate user accounts?

Just wanted to update and let you know I got it to work.

I had to add a handler mapping for the website I was on using the php.

Thanks for your help, good luck with the site, I will check in from time to time to see if I can answer any questions.
