I had to install a bunch of fonts on many computers and the stuff on Google wasn't much help.
So, I thought about it for like two seconds and came up with a way to install the fonts remotely.
1. Install the fonts like normal on the a test system.
2. Go to that systems registry
b. Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
c. R-Click on the fonts folder and select export (export it to your desktop)
d. Delete all of the fonts listed in the exported file, except the ones you want to deploy
e. Also, Do NOT delete these lines:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
3. Copy the script below (Make sure to change the paths to refelect your network / BTW it is a batch file!)
------------Copy Everything Below This Line------------
xcopy "\\SERVER NAME HERE\Shares\FONT\WordPerfect Fonts\*.*" "C:\WINDOWS\Fonts" /Y /C /Q
xcopy "\\SERVER NAME HERE\Deploy\Regkeys\fonts.reg" "C:\scripts" /Y /C /Q
regedit /S C:\scripts\fonts.reg
------------Copy Everything Above This Line------------
Deploy this via a logon script or Altiris
*** The computer will need to be rebooted for the added fonts to register, you could always add
(shutdown.exe -r -f -t 10) to the end of the script!
